Wind was actually the hardest image for me to shoot. I wasn't sure how I wanted to convey the idea and feeling and FREEDOM of wind. I sat on a few ideas for about a couple months but couldn't really iron out what exactly I wanted the end result to feel like.
One day recently I was sitting at home, sick, and I decided I needed to get up and grab my camera. I was feeling creatively stifled with a huge case of cabin fever.... so I pushed myself off the couch and to my wardrobe closet. I started rifling through my outfits I use for shoots, and stumbled on this Rapunzel wig that I bought years ago for my sister to wear in our Fairytale Family Photo set. Staring at this wig... it clicked. What better way to portray wind than wind through some long-ass hair?
So, sick as a dog, I started pulling out the wig and a white cover and frantically starting putting together ideas.
I opted for no makeup to give a really natural feel. Plus I had been sick for days so it was kind of a relief to not have to put together an entire makeup look. The original concept included a silver and nude makeup palette, but I'm really happy with what I had put together.
So there you have it... WIND. :)
