This by far has been the most exciting shoot for the Modern Disney series.
The day of the Alice shoot, I walked into a local floral boutique to get some red and white roses and stumbled upon a perfect little Cinderella carriage! It was on display beside some example wedding table settings, hiding away in the back of the shop. I asked the owner if there was a way to borrow or rent the carriage, and the owner happily lent it to me no strings attached. I was floored. Who has that kinda luck?!
So today I prepped my model, Dianna, for the Cinderella shoot and we hit the road. After getting a late start, and hitting traffic... We ended up getting to our location 15 minutes after it closed.
I immediately switched gears and started brainstorming of a backup location. I mean Dianna was already dressed up and we were rapidly losing daylight. On our way out of the VERY upperclassman neighborhood, I spotted a gentleman taking the trash out of the next mansion in my line of sight. I pulled over and asked very meekly if I could possibly shoot a couple of photos in front of his BEAUTIFUL property, and he immediately opened his gate and welcomed us in. This guy was amazing. He moved multiple vehicles out of the French cobblestone road to give us more space. He gave us access to his garden and gazebo, let us walk the garden and use the fountain, let us shoot on multiple stairwells, and even opened his home to us to let us shoot off his balcony and in his French style sitting room.
How do things like this happen?! This is by far the most amazing series of events that came together perfectly. I cannot wait to edit these photos. In the mean time, here are a couple screen shots of the raw photos. :)
